The global environmental goal for 2020 is to reduce our CO2 emission with 3-5 %.
DANX is also focusing on reducing use of electricity on a global level. This year 2019 we will in particular focus on exchanging regular fluorescent tubes with LED lighting in our warehouses. We expect that this will give us a reduction in electricity usage of app. 1-2 percent. Our electricity usage is measured on a monthly basis.
In terms of waste management DANX is very dependant pon our customers and almost 100 per cent of our waste is generated from ou handling of our customers’ parcels and returngoods. We are working with our customers to reduce waste and can in some instances suggest solutions that require less packaging than other logistic partners would require.
In terms of the waste we generate ourselves, we have put steps in place to reduce our imprint – such as recycling of paper, collecting food waste and reselling pallets.
